Grading System in 'A Different World'

I've decideed to keep the grading system I had originally planned. I'm not goin to use J.K. Rowling's in this story because it would be too complicated if I had to edit the whole first book again on that. Here's a comparison on what I have and will use:

German
British (*)
American(****)
HP5-Universe (**)
HP5-German (**)
1 (sehr gut)
=
A
=
A
=
O (outstanding)
=
O (Ohnegleichen)
2 (gut)
=
B
=
B
=
E (exceeds expectations)
=
E (Erwartungen übertroffen)
3 (befriedigend)
=
C
=
C
=
A (acceptable)
=
A (Annehmbar)
4 (ausreichend)
=
D
=
D
=
P (poor)
=
M (Mies)
5 (mangelhaft)
=
E
=
----
=
D (dreadful)
=
S (Schrecklich)
6 (ungenuegend)
=
F
=
F
=
---- (***)
=
---- (***)

(*) I don't know whether this is truly used in Britain. If this is wrong then please don't flame me but tell me how it would be in reality.
(**) The meanings almost go along with the german grading system but there's one missing. There'd have to be one between 'acceptable' and 'poor'.
(***) The Weasley twins make one up calling it ' T ' (Troll); its the same in the German version since the word is the same.
(****) As one of my readers (Psychotic Coconut Observer) kindly told me this is what's used in America. Thanks for the hint!
